Hey there, tech trailblazers!
I’m TechSheThinkSister—think of me as your new BFF in the wild, wonderful world of deep tech.
Welcome to SheTech Sparks, my shiny new blog that’s all about empowering women like YOU to rock the tech scene, one line of code (or one epic idea) at a time. I’m beyond excited to kick things off, so grab your favourite coffee (or energy drink—let’s be real, we’re techies), and let’s chat about why I started this blog, what you’ll find here, and how we’re gonna make some serious sparks fly in deep tech!
My Story: From Tech Newbie to Spark Starter (With a Few Oopsies Along the Way)
Okay, picture this:, ME five years ago, a fresh-faced IT analyst with big dreams and a laptop that overheated faster than my brain during a coding interview. I was so pumped to dive into deep tech—think AI, machine learning, all the fancy stuff—but I quickly realized something: I was often the only woman in the room. Like, where were my tech sisters at?! I’d walk into meetings feeling like I’d accidentally gatecrashed a boys’ club, complete with awkward fist bumps and conversations about video games I’d never played. (Spoiler: I’m now a Mario Kart pro, but that’s a story for another day.)
One day, I went to this huge tech conference—super excited, ready to network—and I kid you not, I counted maybe three other women in a sea of 200 people. That’s when it hit me like a buggy algorithm: we need more women in deep tech, and we need a space to support each other. I wanted to create a place where women could learn, grow, and lead without feeling like they were playing on hard mode all the time. So, I decided to start SheTech Sparks—a blog that’s part tech playground, part cheerleading squad, and 100% here to help women shine in deep tech. (Cue the confetti cannons! )
What’s Cooking at SheTech Sparks? (Spoiler: It’s Not Just Code!)
I’m not here to just throw random tech jargon at you (though I might geek out about neural networks once in a while—sorry, not sorry!). SheTech Sparks is all about giving you the tools, inspo, and community you need to thrive in deep tech. Here’s what you can expect:
-
Tutorials That Don’t Make You Cry: Beginner-friendly guides on stuff like coding, AI, and machine learning. Think “How to Train Your First AI Model Without Losing Your Mind” (and yes, I’ve totally cried over a buggy script before).
-
Stories That Light You Up: Interviews with badass women in tech who are breaking barriers—like the data scientist who built an app to save endangered species, or the CTO who’s basically a real-life superhero.
-
Career Hacks (Minus the Corporate Jargon): Tips on landing your dream tech job, nailing that interview, or stepping into a leadership role without second-guessing yourself.
-
Community Vibes: A space to share your wins, your struggles, and your “I accidentally deleted my entire project” moments. (Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt.)
If deep tech is a galaxy far, far away, I’m here to be your quirky Yoda—minus the green ears, but with the same amount of enthusiasm for helping you master the Force (or, you know, Python).
Let’s Geek Out Together—What’s Your Tech Story?
Here’s the thing: I don’t want SheTech Sparks to just be my soapbox. I want it to be our space—a community where we can cheer each other on, swap stories, and maybe even laugh about our coding fails. (Like that time I spent three hours debugging… only to realize I forgot to save my file. Facepalm, anyone?)
So, I’d love to hear from you! What’s your biggest challenge as a woman in deep tech? Are you struggling with imposter syndrome, or maybe you’re trying to break into the industry and don’t know where to start? Drop a comment below—I’m all ears (or, I guess, all eyes, since I’ll be reading your comments). Oh, and if you want to stay in the loop for new posts, tutorials, and maybe some fun tech challenges, sign up for my newsletter! I promise not to spam you with boring stuff—just pure, sparkly tech goodness.
What’s Next? (Hint: It’s Gonna Be Awesome)
I’m so pumped to start this journey with you at SheTech Sparks. We’re gonna make deep tech a more inclusive, exciting place for women—one blog post, one idea, one spark at a time. My next post is already in the works, and let’s just say it involves “5 Totally Doable Tips for Breaking Into Deep Tech (Even If You’re a Total Newbie).” You won’t want to miss it!
